Sony launches OLED Premium A9G Bravia Master Series TV in India

Sony has announced its 4K OLED Master TV flagship series line in India. Sony A9G Android Bravia TV will be available in 55-inch (KD-55A9G) and 65-inch (KD-65A9G) formats. Prices for both televisions start at R € 2,69 for the 900-inch model and R € 55 for the 3,69-inch variant.

Along with the A9G, Sony also launched the A8G series, also available in two sizes: 55-inch and 65-inch. It starts at Rs 2,19,900 and peaks at Rs 3,19,900 for the 65-inch model.

Sony A9G Bravia features

Sony's flagship TV, the A9G, is powered by the X1 Ultimate image processor, which controls more than 8 million pixels on the panel. The TV supports Pixel Contrast Booster for more accurate color reproduction and superior picture quality for which the company is known around the world. The A9G can also scale SD and HD content up to 4K, thanks to the X1 Ultimate processor.

The A9G is equipped with Acoustic Surface Audio + technology, consisting of two actuators and two subwoofers that funnel sound directly through the screen for a multi-dimensional audio experience. Sony claims that the audio output has been improved over its predecessor. The TV can also be used as a center speaker if you are looking for a 2.1 setup that offers a more immersive audio experience.

The TV has a special Netflix calibrated mode that calibrates the brightness, color and HDR details to match the original picture quality, as desired by the creators of the Netflix originals.

Additionally, the A9G supports Dolby Vision and has an HDMI eARC port for Atmos-compatible audio devices.

The A9G works with the Android version of Sony TV and supports applications such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Hotstar, among others. It is also provided with the Google Assistant, which allows users to control the TV simply with voice commands, but it is interesting to know that you are talking directly to the TV instead of a remote control. Additionally, the TV can be paired with a Google Home or Amazon Echo device and is also compatible with Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit.

The Sony A9G Bravia will be available in Sony stores and partner stores starting August 1.
