Sony has once again shown that it doesn't care about PC gamers

Sony has quietly increased the price of several of its biggest games on Steam in certain regions, and the new prices are no laughing matter.

Several flagship titles like Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, God of War, and Returnal have been dragged into price hikes, with the new cost having different ranges in different countries. While there hasn't been an official blog post regarding this news put out by Sony, the new price has been confirmed by PlayStation LifeStyle(Opens in a new tab).

The older titles had a smaller price increase than some of the newer ones. However, it's still a blow to PC fans that games as old as God of War are more expensive five years after their release.

Bad luck

Unfortunately, this is just the next incident in a long list for PC gamers. The Last of Us Part 1 was finally available on Steam, sadly leaving many users less than impressed.

Many users have been experiencing issues with crashing games and excruciatingly long shader load times that take one to two hours each time you launch the action-adventure zombie game.

I hadn't played The Last of Us since 2013, and since I no longer own a PS4, I thought watching the remake on Steam would be a great way to reacquaint myself with the excellent story. Unfortunately, I didn't have as much fun this time. Stuck with ridiculous wait times, I got discouraged almost immediately. I also found that even my RTX 3070 didn't help matters as it was stuck at 30fps most of the time and was plagued with constant crashes.

It's heartbreaking to see such a brilliant game get such a horrible port on PC, but when you look at this incident and the price increases, it seems like Sony doesn't care too much for gamers who don't have a PS5.
