Some LG G8X owners report problems with the in-display fingerprint sensor
During Flipkart's ongoing Big Billion Day sale, the LG G8X, excluding the iPhone SE and iPhone XR, were the most notable deals. The phone that otherwise sells for north of Rs. 54,000 sold for just Rs. 19,990. Later, the price was changed to Rs. 21,990, this is still one of the best tech deals you can find this holiday season. The LG G8x packs a dual-screen solution, a Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, all under Rs 22,000 is an excellent deal. And this is demonstrated by the numbers that LG has already been able to collect. Many users took to social media to share their experience with the most affordable dual screen smartphone and most of them were surprised by how much the device has to offer thanks to the dual casing. screen that is free. However, the device is not entirely rosy and some have complained about issues with the LG G8X, such as the slow/unresponsive fingerprint sensor and selfie camera issues. As for the fingerprint sensor, when reviewing the phone, our mobile editor, David Lumb, also noted the same. He mentioned: "The G8X has a built-in fingerprint sensor, and right now it's... bad. It often takes three to four taps from different angles to unlock, which is frustrating. It recognizes fingerprints, it unlocks." ..quickly, but it is not clear which angle the sensor prefers." < p lang="en" dir="ltr">The LG g8x has a problem with the front camera. Front camera focus is fixed for infinity, face is blurry compared to background and i think its a hardware issue because i tried gcam and insta but results still the same :(may i ask if you guys can solve it ?October 18, 2020 A quick google search shows these are very common problems. Some users have claimed that "pressing your thumb lightly" on the scanner helped, while others suggested the other around at least this thread in the XDA forum suggests the same.Users who bought the phone before the sale also reported issues like slow fingerprint sensor, which suggests this is a persistent issue with the LG G8X.We have contacted LG to get a clarification on this matter. We will update this article as soon as we have an official update from LG. As a reminder, the G8X was the first phone from LG to come with a built-in fingerprint sensor and the strong point of the phone is its display accessory dual that comes free with the phone. Note that LG used the same panel as the one present in the phone. This is to ensure that both displays provide a similar visual experience to the user.
