Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7 +: price, availability

Samsung's recently launched Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ have arrived in South Africa. The tablet destined to finally answer the question of what exactly a tablet is for, the S7 series combines the power of a laptop with the portability of a smartphone. That's how the company describes its new tablet and it's an ambitious statement, especially since tablets have struggled to find their place in that happy medium.

Specifications

Available in three colors, Mystic Black, Mystic Bronze, and Mystic Silver, the tablets are the most advanced the company has to offer. The S7 has an 11-inch 2560 x 1600 LCD screen, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor, impressive 8000 mAh battery and 13 MP + 5 MP dual rear camera system with 8 MP front camera. The S7+ has many of the same features as the S7, but with a bit more space and power. It has a slightly bigger and better screen at 12,4 inches and a 2800 x 1752 Super AMOLED display. It also has a larger 10.090 mAh battery. Both also come with the new S Pen – Samsung claims to have the lowest latency ever, something you only get with Android tablets for easy designing, writing and drawing.

Pricing

You can buy the tablets directly from Samsung's online store. There is only one option for each type of tablet in the country, yet to say if more will arrive. The Galaxy Tab S7 ships on LTE and costs R19,998.99. The Galaxy Tab S7 has WiFi and costs Rand 22,999. This price puts them in the range of their closest Apple iPad competitors.
