Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 is official and could be a true rival for iPad Pro

In terms of high-end tablets, Samsung is struggling to stand up to Apple. The latter's iPad Pro range is currently the best tablet, but Samsung is now launching the battle against Apple with the new Galaxy Tab S6.

The latest high-end tablet from the Korean electronics company, the Galaxy Tab S6 builds on the features of its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S4 (yes, Samsung has surpassed the S5, although there is a budget S5E tablet).

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 features a 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display, allowing you to experience a high-quality visual experience.

One intriguing aspect of this list is that it is one of the first to offer dual rear cameras. The main sensor is a 13MP sensor, plus a 5MP camera with a wide angle lens. On the front of the camera there is an 8MP selfie camera.

The Galaxy Tab S6 is typically powered by a 7 mAh battery, allowing for fast charging. It's a pretty reasonable battery for a slate, so we'd expect to see it working for a long time without needing to be completed.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 runs on a Snapdragon 855 chipset, a state-of-the-art processor, so you see high performance while gaming, watching videos, or working.

In your tab

One of the distinguishing features of the main Galaxy Tab S range is the integration of the S Pen. With the Tab S6, it comes in the box. So unlike Apple Pencil for iPad, you won't need to spend a lot of device. The board even has a special corner for storage, where it will charge wirelessly.

However, something is missing: previous Samsung tablets had a 3.5mm headphone jack, but this one is missing from the Galaxy Tab S6. You will have to stick with the wireless headphones at this point.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 will go on sale in the US on September 6, but you can pre-order it from August 23. This is just a Wi-Fi tablet. An LTE-compatible version will be available later in 2019.

You can buy the device for € 649 (around € 530 or AU € 940), although this is a 6GB RAM and 128GB memory version. Another version of 8GB of RAM and 256GB will cost an indeterminate amount more.

The release date is quite remote, but before that, you can expect to see the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 series, which will launch on August 7.
