Samsung follows Apple with its own AR glasses patent

While rumors continue to circulate about Apple's so-called anti-Apple glasses, it appears that Samsung is also interested in some of this sweet augmented reality action.

Recently, the Dutch website Galaxy Club uncovered a patent application, outlining the South Korean company's plans for its own anti-radar helmet, The Verge reported.

Originally filed on February 1, 2019, the design patent went public only in South Korea a few days ago and included a number of details, illustrations, and even a full 3D rendering of the proposed device (see below). higher). You can see all the included diagrams of the app below.

Depending on the app, Samsung's sunglasses will include individual projection screens for each eye, two cameras, and what appears to be a small speaker or area filled with ventilation holes.

Also, one of the images shows a cable going through the right arm of the rear window, although it is not known if it is a charging cable or if the headphones will require a wired connection to a cable. Smart device to work.

It remains to be seen if Samsung is seriously considering launching anti-reflective glasses in the future, but it should be noted that the situation has been extremely calm for the past year regarding the company's virtual reality game Gear VR. Is it because the South Korean giant now sees augmented reality as a future? We just have to wait and see.
