Salesforce doubles its support in the UK

Salesforce has declared its long-standing support for UK businesses as they seek to recover from the pandemic.

The CRM giant has doubled down on its commitment to the UK (opens in a new tab), highlighting the role it hopes to play in helping businesses of all sizes grow and prosper.

"The UK is a key growth market for Salesforce and we have built a diverse and thriving ecosystem of customers and partners," Zahra Bahrololoumi, CEO of Salesforce UK, said at the company's World Tour London event. "I am incredibly optimistic about the future of UK businesses and the continued innovation and growth we will continue to see."

By entrusting the full power of Salesforce to British businesses, Bahrololoumi added that the company's technology could play a key role for businesses of all sizes facing the turmoil of the coming years.

"UK businesses have faced unprecedented headwinds over the last two years, from the pandemic and war to global supply chain issues," he noted.

“In light of the challenging macroeconomic environment, the Board's top priority has shifted from a focus on growth to efficiency. The automation and efficiency that cloud technology can offer is a clear solution, and digital transformation is high on the agenda of CEOs in the UK today.

Highlighting the success of UK Salesforce clients such as Currys, Revolut and Gohenry, Bahrololoumi also sought to highlight the company's effect on the broader UK landscape, noting that "Salesforce economics" would help 9,3 million global jobs (including 271.000 in the UK) by 2026 and $1,6 trillion in total revenue.

The company is also looking to address the digital skills gap, which has been widely identified as one of the most pressing challenges for the industry as a whole.

Noting that there are now 16 million of his "Trailblazers" in more than 100 countries, Bahrololoumi also revealed that Salesforce will award a €500,000 grant to Ada, the National College for Digital Skills, and another €400,000 grant to the Leadership charity. Through Sport & Business. . .
