Sage used its annual customer conference to introduce several enhancements to a range of products, including its Sage Intacct cloud financial services offering. With the goal of streamlining workflow, Sage Intacct has refined itself in three key areas, with the business focused on continuous accountability, trust, and insight. Continuous accounting is a way to streamline processes between companies, starting with finance. That's why Sage has launched two new products that improve workflow for businesses, including Salesforce CRM Advanced Integration for Nonprofits and Sage Intelligent Time. Salesforce for Nonprofits' advanced CRM integration enables staff working in the nonprofit industry to quickly and easily access Salesforce data without the need to visit specific accounting departments. The idea is to give nonprofits a more efficient, data-driven approach, especially when it comes to strategizing moving forward and planning fundraising campaigns. Meanwhile, Sage Intelligent Time is its first AI-based application, which has been integrated directly into the Sage Intacct platform. The service aims to provide better insight to service-oriented businesses that need to more accurately manage their billable time. At the heart of how the system works is an AI-powered personal time assistant that can automate timesheet completion and highlight areas where time is used less efficiently.

Elsewhere, Sage showcased more of its new AI-powered features, which are best used in Sage Intacct's intelligent general ledger suite. AI is asked to automatically analyze the journal entries and flag any areas that need further inspection. The idea is to allow finance teams to intervene sooner based on much more accurate and consistent data. In addition to Sage's suite of software tools, the company also introduced the Sage Intacct Interactive Visual Explorer. This package has been developed to provide companies with detailed graphical analysis tools, allowing them to better understand their trading data and highlight trading trends over time. Sage Intelligent Time and Salesforce Advanced CRM Integration for Nonprofits are expected to be available later this year. Outlier detection for the General Ledger and Interactive Visual Explorer is expected in early 2021.
