RingCentral Releases a Wave of Updates Designed to Boost Productivity

RingCentral has released a number of new features for its cloud telephony and collaboration platforms in an effort to help customers increase productivity as uncertain economic times loom.

Broadly speaking, the updates are designed to give users a way to automate administrative tasks, reduce the need to juggle multiple applications, and help develop custom workflows specific to individual businesses.

The hope is that by laying the groundwork for increased productivity, RingCentral can actually create an additional way for customers to cut costs.

New RingCentral Features

With inflation soaring, the cost of borrowing rising and the appetite to spend diminishing, many businesses are facing a period of considerable economic pressure.

In this environment, businesses will need to ensure they take advantage of every ounce of productivity, which can be challenging when employees juggle dozens of different digital tools and services and work from all kinds of devices and locations. RingCentral's latest updates are designed to help customers achieve this goal.

Perhaps the biggest change is the arrival of new apps and integrations to the RingCentral app, including Google Drive, Google Forms, HubSpot, Zendesk, Trello, and more. This means that users no longer have to jump between windows to access their cloud storage library, for example, or their project management software.

Second, RingCentral has released a number of new features for its cloud phone service that it says will ease pressure on IT departments. Updates include self-service onboarding enhancements, a streamlined call transfer process, and the ability to use various analytics tools to learn from call behavior data.

Rounding out the suite of updates are new features designed specifically to help sales teams streamline their workflows. For example, sales staff will now benefit from revamped Salesforce and HubSpot integrations that allow them to talk to co-workers before transferring a call and easier access to voicemail features.

“Giving your employees the right communication and collaboration tools when and where they need them is key to achieving hybrid working success,” said Kira Makagon, chief innovation officer at RingCentral.

"At RingCentral, we are focused on delivering the best connected experiences across different work styles, locations and technologies to reduce operational inefficiencies and enable people to connect effortlessly with customers, teams and everyone in between."
