Revolt RV400 and RV300 launched in India from Rs 2999 per month

The Revolt RV400 has finally been formalized as the first fully electric AI bike in India. During the launch, the company shared details about range, top speed, charging infrastructure, and batteries.

Revolt Intellicorp is founded by former Micromax CEO Rahul Sharma. It was first introduced in the world a few months ago and it mentioned what the first Indian electric motorcycle would look like and the current features never seen in this price segment.

Revolt RV400 Design

The RV400 uses a single base chassis with an aluminum swingarm. It also has inverted forks for the front wheel, which is rare in this segment. The electric bicycle was designed to be ergonomic for 95% of Indians. With 215mm ground clearance, this bike is the tallest in the segment and also helps make it invincible to water damage. To take care of the rest, the Revolt RV400 is IP67 waterproof. For added safety, the battery is closer to the center of gravity for better weight distribution. The footrests can also be adjusted according to the rider's preferences.

Revolt RV400 Features

The bike comes with a contactless smart key that can be used to unlock the bike from a distance of 50 meters. In addition to this, it can also be used to start the engine beforehand, but also to trigger an alarm. If this is not enough, the RV400 can also be started simply by using the voice command "Revolt, start" when used with compatible headphones. The console, called the Digital Health Monitor, is a comprehensive dashboard that displays information such as speed, battery levels, expected range, and more.

It will implement front and rear dual disc brakes, as well as a regenerative braking system that recharges the battery each time the brakes are applied. The side stand is also smart and shuts off the engine when off, ensuring greater safety. Other features include a USB port for charging, a large storage silo, and accessory hooks on the back.

Revolt RV400 Performance and Range

The RV400 is powered by a 3KW mid drive motor powered by a 75V battery. This allows the bike to reach a maximum range of around 150 km under ideal riding conditions in Eco mode. The transition to normal mode brings the top speed up to 65 km / h and the range up to 100 km. Finally, the Sports mode brings the maximum speed to 85 km / h, but the range will be reduced to 80 km / h. Rahul Sharma has also teased the upcoming Nitro mode that will "go up a gear."

Revolt RV300

The scene was also shared by the Revolt RV300, a less expensive and less expensive variant. It uses a 1.5kW hub motor powered by a 60V lithium ion battery, giving it a 180km range with a top speed of 65km / h. There are also minor differences with the design.

Charging infrastructure

One of the biggest problems hampering EV adoption in India is the lack of a proper charging network. Revolt Motors has some solutions to solve this problem. It takes approximately 4,5 hours to charge the battery to 100%. But when you're on the go, Revolt Switch Stations can be used to instantly change the battery and leave it fully charged. They are currently implemented in Pune and Delhi and their number will increase over time.

Due to the removable nature of the batteries, they can also be removed from the bike and charged separately for users who do not have access to a charging station near the parking spot. Finally, an SOS Delivery option for batteries allows you to order a new battery through the MyRevolt app that will be delivered to you.

If that wasn't impressive enough, Revolt batteries also come with an unlimited lifetime warranty (up to 1.50 km). This is crucial for electric vehicles because the wear and tear of lithium-ion batteries over time causes a reduction in range.

Revolt service network

In addition to free battery replacement, the Revolt RV400 will be accompanied by 3 years of free in-house maintenance, on-site tire replacement, and even worn brake pads. They have also partnered with GoMechanic to expand their network of services.

Riot Price RV400

There are three variants of the bike, which you can buy in monthly installments. The RV300 can be purchased at Rs 2999 per month over a period of 37 months, the basic RV400 at Rs 3399 and the premium RV400 at Rs 3999. This price includes insurance, down payment, registration, 3-year service fees, batteries, and 4G connectivity.

Deliveries will start in September 2019 for Delhi and around October for Pune. The next phase will include Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Ahmedabad and Chennai, which should happen in the next 4 months. Riot centers will also be set up where customers can come and discover the bicycles and even buy them.
