At an unusual rate of software updates, iOS 13.1.2 is now available with more bug fixes for the new mobile operating system, which applies to both iOS 13 and iPadOS 13.
This may seem like déjà vu since iOS 13.1.1 was only released on Friday. According to 9to5Mac, today's update doesn't contain any particularly notable features. These are mainly minor problems. What's interesting is how often these updates reach the general public to fix Apple's iOS software.
Among the iOS 13.1.2 release notes, bug fixes for iCloud, Bluetooth, HomePod, and display are mentioned.
- Fixes a bug where the iCloud backup progress bar could continue to display after a successful backup
- Resolves an issue where the camera may not work
- Fixes an issue where the flashlight won't turn on
- Fix a bug that could cause loss of screen calibration data
- Resolves an issue where shortcuts could not be run from HomePod
- Fixes an issue where Bluetooth may disconnect in some vehicles
Despite quick iPhone and iPad software updates, there are still problems for developers. Marco Arment, developer of the Overcast podcast application, reports the UISearchController-UINavigationBar corruption error which, he says, "has completely messed up my application."
And they still haven't fixed the UISearchController-UINavigationBar corruption introduced in version 13.1, which totally screwed up my app. https://t.co/mAB9kjSxsa September 30, 2019
The beta version of iOS 13 was released on June 3 at Apple's WWDC 2019 conference. However, even after more than three months of testing and the release of the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro, it is clear that it takes longer to apply the software update.
