Realme GT Master Edition could support MagDart charging

Realme GT Master Edition could support MagDart charging
Realme GT Master Edition is coming to India next week, marking the smartphone's debut in markets outside of China. While we're familiar with most of its specs, one surprising feature might be in store for us: support for MagDart wireless magnetic charging. Unveiled in China last month, the Realme GT Master Edition is an extension of the brand's flagship series in the mid-range segment. As with the other Master Edition variants, it has a unique design that is rare in smartphones. What's more interesting is the fact that a prototype Realme GT Master Edition was recently discovered by tipster OnLeaks to be compatible with MagDart. MagDart is Realme's new wireless charging technology where power sources magnetically attach to a device to charge at higher speeds without the hassle of conventional wireless charging pads.

(Image credit: OnLeaks) As shown in the images shared with 91mobiles, the puck-shaped and larger MagDart cube chargers are powered by the Realme GT Master Edition, presumably at 15W and 50W respectively. However, during the announcement, Realme did not mention when and what it would be coming to a commercially available device, only a concept phone called the Realme Flash was unveiled. The images of the Realme GT Master Edition charging via MagDart could mean that the device supported magnetic wireless charging at some point in the development phase and was canceled in the final product, or that the phone actually came with MagDart support. , but the company didn't want to mention that yet.

On a related note, the company may want to keep the Realme GT Master Edition ready for when this feature becomes available. There is no way to get clarification on this except to open a device, so we suggest you wait for more official details on this. Launching in India on August 18, the realme GT Master Edition packs a 4300mAh battery with support for 65W SuperDart charging. Other specs include Snapdragon 778G chipset, a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, a triple quad cameras and more. There will also be a special variant with a 3D vegan leather back that is supposed to look like a suitcase.
