Realme creates a fitness tracker to compete with Xiaomi Mi Band

The cheap fitness band market is a tough space in 2020, with strong competition from Xiaomi and others, but a new entry from Realme is coming soon. Chinese phone maker Realme has already confirmed that it's working on a fitness tracker and we now know it's coming in February of this year. The exact launch date of the Realme fitness group is not yet known, but the company's CEO in India, Madhav Shethat, has confirmed that it will launch in February. Shethat has already teased the device on stage by taking it in front of a crowd, but the company has yet to reveal the device's specifications or price. We know from this coincidence that it will be available in a yellow colorway, but it's currently unclear if other shades will be available as well. It also appears to have a silicone band, which may be the only strap option available for the fitness tracker. A recent press release shared on Weibo, a Chinese social networking site, gave us the best overview of the Realme fitness tracker, again showing it in yellow, but it seems we shouldn't wait too long before taking a closer look, the device officially. Realme might visit Mobile World Congress at the end of February to announce its new fitness tracker. The company also has a variety of other products in the pipeline, including headphones and power banks, so we'll be hearing about that in February as well. Through gadgets and connected objects.
