Realme 6, 6 Pro and Realme Bands to Launch in India on March 5

The Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro as well as the Realme group are expected to launch in India on March 5. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth took to Twitter and released the launch information for the Realme 6 series. Earlier this week, at the launch of the Realme X50 Pro 5G, the company also announced that it will announce the fitness tracker of the Realme group on March 5. Although details are scant at the moment, the Realme 6 series should pack a 64MP quad-camera setup and a 90Hz “Pro Display”.

Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro: what to expect?

The Realme 6 series will advance the company's budget series, this time with 64MP quad cameras and possibly a display with a high refresh rate. In line with last year's Realme 5 series, the new generation of phones should be offered at a competitive price in India. The Realme 6 poster also alludes to the double-punch hole cutting for the front cameras, yes, it looks like there are two selfies! But for now, it's unclear whether the two phones will have dual cameras on the front or just the Pro model. A MediaTek processor could power phones like the Redmi Note 8 Pro or a new Qualcomm chip. Also, both models should run on Realme UI out of the box. At the time of launch, the Realme 5 was offered starting at Rs 9,999, while the Pro version was up for grabs starting at Rs 13,999. We expect the new series to reach the same price levels given the highly volatile nature of this budget segment. That said, Xiaomi has yet to reveal what it has in store for us, and Realme clearly wants to reap the early-mover benefits. As for the Realme fitness tracker dubbed the Realme Band, the company has teased it several times with the new Realme Link app that will allow you to connect it to your smartphone. It would be interesting to see how Realme evaluates this as it marks the company's entry into the apparel sector. Also, the company is not stopping there as it is already planning to launch a smartwatch, which made a surprise appearance during the Realme X50 Pro launch last week.
