Razer Iskur Cloth Two Minute Review

The Razer Iskur fabric is the next version of the Razer Iskur line of gaming chairs that the company introduced in 2020, which was already one of the best gaming chairs.

Now with more comfortable fabric padding that breathes better during extended gaming sessions, the Razer Iskur fabric improves on its predecessor in almost every way.

The Iskur Fabric isn't that different from the Razer Iskur we reviewed last year, and it has the same features and design as that chair, so it has some of its downsides too.

Chief among them is that it comes with the same hefty $499 / £499 / AU$729 price tag, but it can be a win-win either way.

If you're the type who believes that PVC leather adds quality to a chair over fabric, then charging the same price for a fabric gaming chair might seem unreasonable.

We're not talking about real leather here though, we're talking about PVC, which is basically plastic, so we think fabric is a step up. As such, we are pleased to see that the price has not increased accordingly.

The chair is designed for people up to 5ft 11in (around 180cm), so it's still not ideal for players with a taller build, though for those who need more space, the Iskur Fabric XL is available for someone up to 6 feet 10 inches (about 208cm), although it is more expensive.

The embroidered details on the Iskur cloth are also less pronounced than on the original Iskur, which has added green accents throughout the stitching (although an all-black PVC leather version with black embroidery is also available).

Best of all, the dark gray fabric construction just adds a bit of class to a gaming chair, which is harder to find than you might think. If you love the style and features of a gaming chair, but want real comfort and something a little more mature, then the Razer Iskur fabric was designed specifically for you.

However, the fabric construction adds something that PVC leather doesn't have to worry about and tries to keep it clean.

Dust, dirt, and chips may get stuck in the nooks and crannies of a PVC leather seat, but it's usually much easier to clean. In addition, the black PVC leather does not stain.

The same cannot be said for the fabric of the Iskur fabric, so you will have to be more careful with these energy drinks.

Oh, did we mention it's a pet hair magnet? If you have a furry creature, you're probably used to it, but it's worth noting.

However, the Razer Iskur fabric retains all the goodness of its PVC leather sibling, including fantastic lumbar support and a 4D armrest. The latter certainly helps give a bit more room for those who want to sit cross-legged, but the race car style of the seat makes it too difficult to get comfortable.

The seat cushion is comfortable and sitting on it for a long time is a pleasure, even more so than the original Iskur.

The cushion's fabric cover breathes much better than PVC, which helps keep things from getting sweaty during long hours of online gaming or working all day.

Ultimately, all-day comfort is what matters most, whether you plan to use a chair for work or play. Either way, the Razer Iskur Cloth delivers and does so with a sleek look that's rare among gamer-oriented products, making it very easy to recommend to anyone with the budget for it.
