Rainbow Six Siege Operation Neon Dawn brings Aruni to the main server
Ubisoft has finally uploaded Rainbow Six Siege Season 4's Operation Neon Dawn to the main server. The new Operation Neon Dawn brings new operator Aruni from Thailand with a reworked skyscraper map and changes to Jager, Hibana, and Echo. The Year 4 Season 5 Operation Neon Dawn update is 60 GB on PC, while the console version is 35,90 GB. The update is now available on all platforms with a new 100-tier Battle Pass. The game is now available on Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Rainbow Six Siege Season 4, like last time, brings major changes to the game. Some of these changes are sure to attract a lot of controversy among the player base. These are some of the most important things that Operation Neon Dawn brings.

New operator: Aruni

Apha "Aruni" Tawanroong is from Thailand and the first in the game to appear with a handicap. Aruni has a prosthetic arm and leg, but he uses them to his advantage. Unlike other operators, he can drill a large hole in soft walls with his prosthetic arm. These are about as big as shotgun holes and we found them very useful during our time testing.

This net, when deployed, deals significant damage to attackers if they hit it. Disposables and drones are destroyed by touching them. But once the laser gate comes into contact with something, it shuts down and needs to be recharged. Defenders should shoot it once it's ready to reactivate again. Oh, and it deactivates when a defender tries to cross it. Aruni is the first Defender to get a DMR, which is the Mk 14 EBR, she also has the ability to wield the P10 Roni. Her secondaries only include the PRB92 pistol, and the devices include the proximity alarm or barbed wire. She is a two-speed, two-armor operator.

Map redesign: skyscrapers

Players have a new angle of attack, as Operators can now rappel down to the ceiling. In addition, Dragon is now an interior room and serves as a bridge between the 2F house and the 2F restaurant. For balance reasons, some entrances were blocked off and part of the balcony was removed to prevent attackers from camping outside. Despite these changes, the card's identity and art style remain intact.

Operator changes

Jäger's active defense system now has a 10 second cooldown after intercepting an opponent's projectile, and will not be able to intercept additional projectiles until the cooldown expires. ADS also has an infinite number of charges, up from just 2. Hibana's X-Kairos Launcher used to fire 6 X-Kairos at a time, but it only takes 4 X-Kairos to destroy a hatch. The launcher can now be set to fire 2, 4, or 6 X-Kairos, allowing players to manage Hibana's resources as they see fit. Echo's Yokai drone will now remain visible when placed on the ceiling. According to the developers, this is an attempt to address some of the frustration and balance issues that result from the device's stealth feature.

Other changes

The timer for defenders has now been reduced from 2 seconds to 1. This is an active attempt by the developers to kick the habit of occasional exits and strategize in the same way. There is now a 'no drop zone' that has been added to the edge of bomb sites to prevent players from accidentally dropping the defuse when trying to crash it in that area. In addition to these, there are better gadgets in the gadget interaction changes, as well as new accessibility options including speech-to-text and text-to-speech options for the in-game chat channel.
