Puma Smartwatch is a Wear OS laptop that focuses on running

The Puma Smartwatch has just been unveiled at IFA 2019, and it looks like it's trying to storm the smartwatch world, at least for runners.

It has high-end specs as well as other useful features for runners, but may not be comparable to other high-end devices.

The Puma smartwatch runs on Google's Wear OS operating system, which is used by many smartwatches. The interface shouldn't be too strange if you use another similar device.

One of the key features of the Puma Smartwatch is that it runs on a Snapdragon Wear 3100 chipset, which is not used by many existing smartwatches.

The benefits of this technology include more efficient processing, which should allow your battery to last longer, even if it shows a permanent display. Puma says the battery should last 24 hours, which is not that long.

When it comes to fitness monitoring, there are things to please. In addition to standard modes like pace tracking and heart rate monitoring, there's also a GPS, weather updates, various training apps, and a swim-resistant design.

Puma Smartwatch offers other features, such as the Google Assistant, Google Pay, and Spotify integration, to give you additional ways to use the smartwatch, but all of these features are designed to enhance your sports experience.

If you're interested in this race-focused smartwatch, it's due out in October or November (we've heard both already), priced at € 275 (about € 225, AU € 410). This is a pretty average price for what appears to be a useful piece of kit.
