Why today for Target PS5 restocking? While our trusted sources can no longer tell us the exact date of the next Target PS5 restock (this is due to changes in internal company communications), we do know that Target stores in the United States have purchased more consoles. PlayStation 5 this week, and the restock time has been in the morning for all the latest Target restocks online in 2021 only. So it's safe to assume there will be a Target PS5 restock this week, and the last two cycles Department store restocking took place Wednesday morning.

PS5 Resupply Goal Today

So today, the target PS5 restock time is probably 7:40am EDT / 6:40CDT / 5:40MDT / 4:40PDT. Since the local Target stores we've signed up with have enough stock for at least a small drop, we're assuming it will be this week starting today, May 26, though we can't confirm the exact date. Despite the usual Target PS5 restock time, we suggest paying attention to your phone for Matt Swider's Twitter alert about 40 minutes in advance. There was a time in 2021 where Target restocked the PS5 around 7:15 am EDT. So it's better to be there early than to miss the restock entirely, especially since the last Target console restock date was April 28. Target won't be the first US retailer to have the PS5 in stock this week, even if it happens today. We have seen Best Buy have a PS5 restock of PS5 Disc and PS5 Digital on Monday. However, Target offers next-gen consoles that are easier to buy and same-day pickup options, which is getting some exciting reactions on Twitter.

How to buy Target's PS5, if it's today

What makes Target one of the best stores to buy the PS5 in America? It's easy to put the console in your cart and, with the right strategy, pay for it at checkout. They also offer this same-day pickup option at their local stores after you secure an order online (don't go to a Target store hoping you can pick up the PS5 today). The easiest way to pay for a PS5 is to use Target's PayPal button (or Apple Pay if you go through the iPhone app). PayPal takes you away from Target's servers, which are congested with traffic, and to PayPal's transaction page to complete the payment. This is the #1 shortcut you need to know about in this video from YouTuber Jake Randall.

Dry week for PS5 restock dates?

Beyond Target, we don't have much information on the PS5 restocking news in the US, as Best Buy already restocked on Monday, while the two GameStop y Walmart had PS5 in stock on Wednesday and Thursday of last week, respectively. Both US retailers open orders every two weeks, so while we're tracking GameStop and Walmart PS5 inventory, we can't fully confirm an impending restock at either US retailer. One encouraging sign is that retailer Antonline promises at least one next-gen console restock every week, and while that might mean Xbox, it had an Xbox Series X restock last week and two PS5 Digital restocks before that. So there's a natural assumption that the PS5 Disc console will be available for purchase next. This is the best news in case you miss out on the Target PS5 restock this week.

How about a Sony Direct PS5 replacement?

Sony's next State of Play event on Thursday, May 27 could be a PS5 restock, as we haven't seen the company offer the console since last week. But we have our doubts for a reason: the lucky PS5 buyers who stopped by the virtual queue last week have informed us that their console was delayed in shipping. In the past, whenever we've seen delayed shipments from Sony PlayStation Direct (which typically ships consoles very quickly, especially if you have a paid PlayStation Plus account), it usually means it won't replenish for a few days or weeks. Still, our PS5 Twitter tracker is monitoring all US stores in case Sony shows up unexpectedly.
