PS5 outperforms Xbox Series X more than four times… in Japan

PS5 sales dwarf the Xbox Series X/S in Japan, with Sony's next-gen console selling 118,000 units four days after launch. Microsoft's Xbox Series X and S consoles, by contrast, sold 21.000 units in six days. However, the Xbox would have sold out. Both consoles have obviously generated a lot of buzz and excitement in the gaming community, with the demand for each system completely outstripping the supply available. According to Famitsu's research, these sales are taken from the console's launch window, which for the PS5 runs from November 12 to 15, and for Xbox consoles from November 10 to 15. Famitsu goes on to say that Spider-Man: Miles Morales is currently the best-selling PS5 game in Japan with 18,640 units sold, closely followed by BluePoint's Demon's Souls remake selling 18.607 units. It is important to note that these figures are for Japan only and global sales figures are unknown. Get the best Xbox Series X deals before everyone else! In Japan, the PS4 sold more than 300.000 units in just two days after it launched in 2014, a number far higher than current PS5 sales. Please note, however, that we are in the midst of a pandemic, which will undoubtedly affect the launch in terms of the available supply. Xbox, on the other hand, launched its Xbox One in Japan in September 2014 and sold a total of 23,562 consoles during its launch week. In the grand scheme of things, this is just the beginning of every console's life cycle; there is a long way to go.
