Project Cortex will create and update new topic pages and knowledge centers, which will essentially serve as wikis for organizations. Topic cards will be available to Microsoft users in Outlook, Teams, and Office.

An updated managed metadata service is at the heart of Project Cortex and enables markup in Microsoft 365. The service is currently in private preview, but the company has announced the addition of new customers who apply directly through the Project Cortex Resource Center.
