A new James Bond game called Project Seven is in the works. IO Interactive, the people behind Hitman, is currently developing the project. Although details are scarce, Project XNUMX is going to be the next big release from IO Interactive, which means more details are likely to be released in the future.

Although Project XNUMX doesn't feature actors from the movies, we did get a brief trailer, too. While said teaser doesn't show any gameplay, the site confirms that the story is about the origins of James Bond and is going to be "absolutely original" to the game. This means that IO Interactive won't be borrowing previous James Bond stories or even actors. Films.

Project seven also keeps his cards close to his chest when it comes to play. While it's virtually certain that we can expect shots somehow, the precise details have yet to be revealed. We could be in on traditional first-person action in the vein of Goldeneye Seven for the N64. Alternatively, IO Interactive could go for third-person stealth mechanics in the tradition of its acclaimed Hitman series. However, what we do know is that Bond will return.

Project 007: launch date and platforms

There are no official details on when we can expect the new Project XNUMX game. Since we know that IO Interactive is still assembling its development team, it could be a few years before the new James Bond title sees the light of day.

For now, we can surely expect to see it released on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, but we don't know for sure. Given the supposedly distant release date, it doesn't seem very likely that it will come to Xbox One or PS4. However, since Hitman XNUMX, IO Interactive's latest essential release, had a cloud release on Nintendo Switch, there's a chance Project XNUMX will get the exact same treatment.
