We have often talked about the size of the Indian market for tech products, especially smartphones. Each brand is striving to win the hearts of consumers by bringing innovation to never-before-seen price segments. This effort has made India the most lucrative market for many manufacturers due to its global potential. At TechRadar India, we feel privileged to be able to witness this change from the front seat and share our thoughts on these products as they enter the market. The smartphone scene in India needs little introduction, and most of you will know how competitive and exciting the market has become. With several new smartphones and devices hitting the market, we are spoiled for choice. However, these options often confuse consumers prior to their purchase. In a sea of gadgets, there are some pearls that remain in our memories for a long time... gadgets that we find hard to part with. After going through dozens of them, we thought it would only be fair if we could somehow properly acknowledge these products and the teams behind them, a nod of recognition. 2019 was a big year for smartphones in particular. We had our first wave of foldable smartphones which gives us a glimpse of the future, cameras have increased in terms of number and capacity, fast charging has become common across all price segments, USB Type-C has become standard in a way it was designed for and manufacturers have finally begun to understand the importance of a great software experience. Sure, some devices have done a better job than others, but without a doubt, the segment has moved in the right direction. To commemorate those who have done the best work, we are bringing TechRadar awards to India. It is with great enthusiasm that we present to you TechRadar India Awards 2019 (Powered by Dell).
