Pokémon Legends: Arceus was released a week before launch

A few copies of Pokémon Legends: Arceus are said to be already in some people's hands ahead of the game's release on January 28.

As a result, screenshots, gameplay footage, and general information about the game have started to surface online, meaning fans who want to avoid being spoiled will need to take preventative action.

According to Nintendo Life, copies are even being sold on eBay, and some retailers have shipped copies before.

Obviously, we won't share any spoilers, but we recommend that you turn off all words related to the game, and maybe even the series, on social media platforms like Twitter.

Hisui 360°

Earlier today, the official Japanese Pokémon YouTube channel uploaded a 360° interactive YouTube video showing the Hisui region of Pokémon Legends from a first-person perspective.

It only lasts a few minutes and sees the player character wander through a small section of the region as they navigate through the three different Pokémon available in the game: Wyrdeer, Braviary, and Basculegion.

Set in the distant past, Pokémon Legends changes the formula and tasks players with creating the first PokéDex in the Hisui region. The game features a vast world where Pokémon roam freely, drawing many comparisons to Capcom's Monster Hunter games.

Beyond that, very little of the game's plot has been shared, though there is a mystery surrounding why certain Pokémon go into a vicious frenzy, causing them to attack people.

Arceus's role has yet to be explained and he hasn't even appeared in promotional material outside of the original teaser.
