Titanfall 2 was an acclaimed sequel with a single-player campaign worth buying the game for itself, even before it got into some incredible multiplayer action, with humanoid avatars pounding massively over their weight (and in 'inside) the Titanfall mech regulars. There is no one to be lost. Monster Energy Supercross It's not quite as big as Titanfall, but Monster Energy Supercross packs fast, snappy action all on its own in this BMX racing sim, complete with a track editor to create and shape your own bike routes. And yes, it's Monster Energy as in energy drink.

Nioh This samurai action game has more than a touch of Dark Souls in it, which isn't a bad thing, but its deep combat system and incredible medieval setting also make it its own beast. A return to form for Team Ninja, and a game we know now is getting a sequel to Nioh 2 in March 2020. This is the perfect time to practice your swashbuckling skills. Outlast 2 It's the season to be scary, and Outlast 2 should help you get into the Halloween spirit. It's more of a spiritual successor than a direct sequel to 2013's Outlast, but it puts you back in the shoes of a journalist who gets caught up in the murders they're trying to investigate. Record camcorder footage, scary chase footage and a complete horror experience.

The Last of Us Remastered The timing couldn't be better to forgo The Last of Us Remastered via PS Plus, with the highly-anticipated sequel to the dramatic zombie game, The Last of Us Part 2, arriving in February 2020, but with a masterful storytelling and emotion. really captivating bets, the original game is worth it alone. The remastered version updates the PS3 game with improved graphics and includes the Left Behind DLC that delves into Ellie's life before she begins the main story. MLB The Show 19 If you'd rather turn baseball bats into real baseballs, rather than, you know, undead skulls, MLB The Show 19 is the sports sim for you. Players who try the game in October will receive free in-game content, while legendary gamer Ted Williams will also be added to the game this month. Both games are available until November 4.

Batman: Arkham Knight It's time to suit up in a caped crusader. Rocksteady's Arkham Knight leads this month's PS Plus deal, and you certainly don't want to miss out. Arkham Knight, the fourth main installment in the Arkham series of games, sees you pounding rocks with some of DC's most infamous villains, including Scarecrow, Joker, and Deathstroke. It's worth picking up just for the fun of zipping around Arkham in the Batmobile, you know, if you're not the 'save the world' type. Darksiders 3 Another grim PS Plus offering this month, Darksiders 3 is a hack-and-slash action-adventure from Gunfire Games. If you like Metroidvania games, this is definitely for you, but don't expect easy driving.

While Detroit can't always carry the weight of these issues, there's a lot going on here, and, for some, discovering more of David Cage's work will be enough. Horizon Chase Turbo If you grew up on the fast-paced arcade racers of the '80s and '90s, you'll probably like Horizon Chase Turbo. Modeled after classic racers like Outrun, Top Gear and Rush, Horizon Chase Turbo aims to send a nitrous burst of nostalgia into the hearts of every kid who has spent their afternoons pumping parts into arcade machines and an effort to drive away this essential' high score'.

Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection With Borderlands 3 right around the corner, there's never been a better time to return to the franchise with Borderlands: The Handsome Jack Collection. It's a compilation of two games, The Presequel and Borderlands 2, and sets the stage for the third entry in the series, coming later this year. In addition to the two base games, you'll get all of the DLC released for Borderlands 2, as well as exclusive skins and challenge scenarios for The Presequel. Since it's absolutely free right now, it's a big deal. Sonic Mania For years, every gamer wanted a basic remake of the original Sonic The Hedgehog games. They didn't want fancy graphics or loads of new characters, just the game they grew up with on modern consoles. Sonic Mania is the direct result of the wishes of the fans. That being said, Sonic Mania is really a compilation of original levels and a spiritual successor to the Sega Genesis games: you'll play as Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles and navigate levels at lightning speed. At the end of the zones, you'll face Dr. Robotnik in one of his mechanical monstrosities and do your best to clear the bonus stages between missions. If you need a giant dose of nostalgia, Sonic Mania can whip it up with a shovel.

Overcooked Overcooked is hands down one of the best couch co-op board games in recent years. One to four players control the cooks in a kitchen, delegating responsibilities as they try to cook and serve increasingly complex orders in a variety of wacky restaurants. It's quintessential co-op, but as the pace and stress mount, you begin to understand how Gordon Ramsey relied on such gross vocabulary to make things work in the kitchen. The beauty of Overcooked is that it leaves all the organization up to the players; Who fry steaks? Who cuts the vegetables? Why does onion soup burn? Who the hell is doing the dishes because we don't have any more dishes to serve food? If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen, or in this case, burn it on the floor. What Remains of Edith Finch It is difficult to describe what remains of Edith Finch without spoiling it. It's one of those games that needs to be experienced first hand, and luckily Sony lets you go free. The narrative title allows you to investigate the Finch family home to understand why he is the last one left and what happened to the other members of the family. It's special and wonderful, and arguably one of the best games to come out in 2017.

Conan Exiles Take a dash of Schwarzenegger, a dash of Minecraft, and a serving of Ark: Survival Evolved, and you end up with something like Conan Exiles. A persistent online multiplayer game, it will throw you into the brutal kingdom of the world's most famous barbarian with no personal belongings (literally nothing, not even a loincloth to hide your modesty) and you'll be charged with simply surviving and thriving. It released a bit of a mixed response, but has since created quite a bit of adoration, no doubt largely due to the fact that it's the only game with a penis-sized slider as part of its creation. -a character set... The Surge Imagine Dark Souls in space, and that's what you get with The Surge. He's a bit of a slog down the hall, wasting his mysterious early promise, but his fighting is meaty and well presented. If you can't cope with Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, but still want something that feels like a SoulsBorne fix, The Surge will fill that void.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Remastered (usually $35.99 / $34.99 €59.95) Awesome FPS. With new textures and HDR lighting for modern consoles, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Remastered lets us relive the game without suffering from horribly outdated graphics. Witness (usually $22.99 / AU$59.95) The Witness is a brain-melting puzzle game, set in a beautiful 3D world that can be explored at your own pace; don't expect someone to hold your hand during this journey.

Divekick - PS3 - usually €4.99 / €3.99 This simple fighting game can be played crosswise on your PS Vita and is apparently the world's first two button fighting game. Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots - PS3 - usually €19.99 / €11.99 After the events of Metal Gear Solid 2, Solid Snake returned to infiltrate various sites around the world. Gunhouse - PS Vita - Usually €14.99 / €9.99 Gunhouse is at the same time a puzzler, an active tower defense with infinite levels and a music composed by Disasterpeace of Fez. Rogue Aces - PS Vita - Usually €12.99 / €9.99 You can get some fresh air in this arcade-style game by teaming up with the Rogue Aces to defeat the baron and liberate the islands.

Featuring songs by Blink-182, Slipknot, and Pink, Amplitude is a weird rhythm game in the vein of Guitar Hero. Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion - PS Vita / PS4 - usually €19.99 / €15.99 / AU €29.95 2D action RPG Fallen Legion: Flames of Rebellion is available for cross-purchase between PlayStation 4 and PS Vita, so you can control your empire from home or while traveling.
