Playboy launches its first wireless headphones (rabbit ears not included)

If you think of Playboy, you may not immediately think of wireless headphones; However, the risky entertainment magazine (ahem) just launched its own audio brand, Playboy Audio.

The brand's first foray into the world of personal audio is the ICON 1 wireless headset, available from the Playboy Audio website for € 149.99. That's around € 120 / AU € 220, although no one knows when these in-ear headphones will be available in the world.

Playboy says the new wireless headphones offer "a high-fidelity, distortion-free, high-fidelity sound experience using rich and powerful bass," and that the advanced microphone and ICON 1 hands-free technology provide an excellent audio experience. Crystal clear and comfortable for listening to phone calls. ".

A long musical legacy

In terms of battery life, it has 22 hours per charge and you can listen via Bluetooth or with the supplied auxiliary cable.

Playboy says the listening experience will come to life with the Playboy Sound Instagram page, which allows users to access a playlist of Pleasures, a series of stories in which artists share some of their favorite songs.

Playboy says the headphones are designed to be "ultra-portable," with a lightweight, ergonomic design. The ICON 1 wireless headphones certainly aren't afraid of the Playboy branding, sporting the famous Playboy Bunny logo on the headband.

While it's surprising that the brand, best known for its magazine center pages (which include famous personalities like Pamela Anderson and Marylin Monroe), has branched out into the audio world, Playboy believes it's perfectly logical.

In a press release sent to TechRadar, the company cites its long musical legacy, "from the first Playboy interview starring Miles Davis... to interviews with some of the most legendary names in music, including Elton John, the Beatles , Stevie Nicks, Justin Timberlake, Lizzo and Gary Clarke Jr."

It remains to be seen whether the Playboy Audio ICON 1 wireless headphones live up to this reality.
