Pentax KP J images are lost.
Images purporting to show the new Pentax KP J Limited DSLR have leaked. A "reference" version of the camera was announced at the CP+ event in Japan earlier this year, though many specifications remain unconfirmed. Although Pentax brand owner Ricoh Imaging has yet to confirm anything, its name suggests that it is just a small variation on the Pentax KP, released in early 2017. The KP was notable at the time of its release for its interchangeable handles. , which we don't usually find in DSLR cameras. And with half of the images revealed showing brown handles and the other half showing black handles, it looks like the new model continues to offer this technology. The brown version will no doubt draw comparisons to Hasselbald's ill-fated Lunar model, which many believe is little more than a Sony NEX 7 with a wooden handle and hefty asking price.

The images, which show the camera is teamed with the DCRR Pentax-DA 20-40mm f/2.8-4 High Definition Limited Lens, have been revealed by Japanese website Nokishita on their Twitter account, and show two finishes. different for the case: a choice of standard black and a brighter dark blue. Although the new model takes on similar styling to the original KP, it is believed that the top covers can also be removed and customized to your liking. Although the revised design suggests that the flash has simply been dropped, the presence of a flash button on the side suggests that there will always be a small flash on board. The images were posted with the claim that the model would be announced on June 13. There's no word on pricing or availability at this time, though it looks like we won't have long to wait before we know everything for sure.
