Does the multiverse pass to Hawkeye? Its director and producer speaks

Hawkeye director Rhys Thomas has refused to confirm or deny whether the upcoming MCU Disney Plus show will be affected by the arrival of the multiverse.

Speaking exclusively to LaComparacion before the series' launch on November 24, Thomas raised the possibility that Clint Barton's solo adventure may or may not be affected by the growing threat from the multiverse.

Marvel's Phase 4 plans focus on the arrival of the multiverse in the MCU, with WandaVision, Loki, and What If...? season 1 bringing him into the fold. The multiverse will take full effect in Spider-Man: No Way Home before being explored in detail in Doctor Strange 2 in May 2022.

With Hawkeye set to land on Disney's streaming platform ahead of the release of No Way Home and Doctor Strange 2, Marvel fans wondered if the TV show would be affected by the multiverse. When asked by TheComparison if that would be the case, Thomas kept quiet about the prospect.

Thomas' comments were supported by Hawkeye's executive producer, Trinh Tran. When we asked the producer of Avengers: Endgame a similar question in a separate interview, Tran was also reluctant to reveal anything.

"You'll have to watch out," Tran joked. "You'll find out! Somehow these plotlines are related, whether or not they're related to the multiverse or not. I think you'll find out soon enough."
