Oppo will host an online event on July 31 in India where it will introduce at least two products, the Oppo Reno 4 Pro smartphone and the Oppo Watch. These two devices have already been launched in China. Unlike its home country, the global version of the Oppo Watch will be powered by Google's Wear OS instead of Color OS. The smartwatch was launched in Germany this week with the change of the operating system. We hope the same will happen in India. Switching from its own ColorOS to Google's Wear OS gives Oppo a chance to expand into other markets outside of China. Wear OS will definitely attract more attention in other markets as it comes bundled with the most widely used Google services.

It also comes with NFC and is compatible with Google Pay. Since it works on Wear OS, you have the option to not only receive the notifications you receive on your phone, but also to reply to messages. There is a 24-hour heart rate monitor built into the watch with GPS to track your progress. You can use the watch as a standalone fitness tracker, thanks to the built-in GPS. The Oppo Watch itself resembles the Apple Watch with a curved screen. In Germany, the Oppo Watch 41mm is priced at EUR 249, which is Rs 21.637 in India. We can expect the price in India to be around Rs 20,000.
