Specifications Oppo Reno3

We already know fair on the Reno3 Pro, thanks to a bunch of teasers from Oppo's leaders. It will be powered by the new Snapdragon 765G chipset and will feature a built-in 5G modem. It will sport a curved screen with a hole-punch notch on the front and a quad-camera setup on the back. It will house a large 4.025 mAh battery with support for VOOC fast charging. All of this will be in a package that weighs less than 180g and is 7.7mm thick. Other than a teaser image, we didn't know much about the usual Reno3. A new dig by XDA Developers suggests that the device will be powered by the recently announced MediaTek Dimensity 5 series of 1000G chipset. These chips are supposed to make 5G smartphones more affordable. The range includes a high-end flagship chipset (MTK 6889) and two mid-range ones. The Reno3 is likely to be powered by the mid-range MediaTek MTK 6885 chipset, also known as the Dimensity 1000L.

(Image credit: Oppo) It was not known before if 5G will be exclusive to the Pro or if it will also be available on the Reno3. The invites mention "the Reno3 5G launch event," which leads us to believe that both devices will be 5G-capable. It will have a notched display and a quad-camera setup, with most other specs currently unknown. The Oppo Reno3 series will be unveiled in China on December 26. It will join Redmi, Vivo and Realme in the first wave of affordable mid-range 5G for 2020.
