Oppo's next flagship product, Reno Ace, now has an official release date. It will be released in China on October 10.

Until last year, the Oppo Find series was the company's only flagship line. This changed earlier this year when the Oppo Reno series was announced, with an emphasis on design and cameras. In less than six months, we have had six Reno devices in different price segments. The Oppo Reno Ace will be the second flagship in this range, after the Reno 10x Zoom Edition, launched in April.

Specifications Oppo Reno Ace

As a new flagship product from the company, the Oppo Reno Ace is confirmed by the octadcore Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, as well as up to 12GB of RAM.

The biggest update is the display, as the Reno Ace will be Oppo's first phone to offer a 90Hz refresh rate. This is probably a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD + resolution. Surprisingly, the teaser image suggests that the phone will return to the notch in a drop of water thanks to the "Sharkfin" camera that was introduced in the original Reno. An integrated fingerprint scanner will also be integrated.

The back has a quad camera setup, which should include a 48MP main camera, an ultra-wide angle lens, and a telephoto lens with a monochrome sensor, covering a wide range of focal lengths. Considering that Oppo Reno's previous flagship products have brought some kind of optical zoom into the mix, the Reno Ace should do the same.

Recently, Oppo also confirmed that the Reno Ace will have 65W SuperVOOC fast charging capabilities, making it the highest voltage on any smartphone. The battery will be roughly 4000 mAh, which should go from 0 to 100% roughly.
