OnePlus 8 price leak says it will cost a lot more than OnePlus 7T

The OnePlus 8 release date is getting closer (it's scheduled for April 14) and there are constant leaks pouring in, including a new source claiming to know how much it will cost. While many leaked specs have uncovered the insides of the phones, the new price leak suggests that the new phones will be much more expensive than the predecessors. The disclosed prices come to us via WinFuture obtained from a Czech retailer Alza who has set the specifications and prices of the models. They've since been removed, but that hasn't stopped some eyes on the internet from spotting them. Depending on the leak, the base model of the OnePlus 8 (8GB RAM, 128GB storage) will cost €729 (around €640, €800, AU$1,250, ₹60,400). By comparison, the OnePlus 7T costs $579 (€599 / €549 / €37,999). However, the OnePlus 8 Pro should go even higher with the above source claiming that the phone will cost 929 Euros (around €800, €1,000, AU$1,600, €77,000) for the 8GB RAM base model and 128 GB of storage. This is not a big surprise given that OnePlus has raised the prices of the latest models every year. It's also likely the first time OnePlus has integrated 5G across its entire range of devices, which may also lead to higher prices. Despite the increase, these are probably the most affordable 5G phones on the market, especially when compared to the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Oppo Find X2, which start at around €1,000. Even if the original price is due to leaks, we expect the upcoming OnePlus phones to be cheaper in some markets like India. However, nothing is certain and we will have to wait until April 14 to find out the official details.
