Onecom signs "largest partnership" with Vodafone

Business communications provider Onecom has signed its biggest ever partnership deal with Vodafone, claiming it could generate £600m in revenue over the next five years. Onecom, which has more than 100,000 customers and secured GBP 30m from HSBC earlier this year, said the new deal would allow it to capitalize on Vodafone's growth ambitions for the SME market. "This unprecedented partnership agreement is further evidence of Onecom's strong performance and ambition for growth," said Ben Down, CEO of Onecom. "This success is based on partnerships with some of the world's leading brands and a commitment to providing communication solutions that have a major impact on how our customers do business locally, regionally and nationally. "In renewing this partnership, Vodafone recognized Onecom's significant contribution to growing mobile revenue and continued growth in fixed telephony and IoT, as well as our award-winning customer service." We are now well positioned to deliver on our mission of providing UK SMEs with the better mobile, data and information technology solutions tailored to your needs." The expanded partnership includes provisions for mobile, fixed, broadband and IT devices, with Vodafone planning to launch its 5G network on July 3. Onecom believes that the demand for 5G is important. It revealed that two-thirds of SMEs wanted to modernize for six months. The expanded partnership also includes a commitment to triple the growth of fixed line services and become the market leader in unified communications for SMBs. Onecom has recently been named Best Unified Communications Reseller for the 2019 Mobile Industry Awards (MIA).
