If you want one of the best projectors around, the Vava 4K UHD Laser Projector is now available on Amazon, in Prime Day 2020 sales, at a great price. The Vava 4K projector now retails for €2,199, which is €600 less than its original RRP of €2,799. While it's still a significant sum, this latest discount could mean that a whole new group of people can afford this amazing home theater kit. (Not in the US? The Vava 4K projector started out as a crowdfunded model, but it surprised us with its impressive laser projection and 2.500-lumen brightness. As an ultra-short-throw projector, you can also place it roughly against a wall, which means you won't need a large living room or tilt this model from the ceiling. While most of the best projectors slack off when it comes to audio, this is one area where the Vava projector also excels. Harmon Kardon audio specialists are responsible for this projector's built-in speaker system, delivering 60W of detailed sound. It's not the same quality you might get with a proper surround speaker system, but it does mean the Vava projector can hold its own with movie soundtracks and the like. (However, an additional subwoofer or soundbar might be a good investment for lower frequencies.) You won't find a proper wide color gamut here, just Rec.709, which means you only get 8-bit color depth, rather than the 10-bit color depth that HDR10 is capable of. We recommend setting the brightness to High rather than Standard to increase the color impact, although it does put the fans to work a little harder in the process. The operating system is somewhat chaotic, with an impenetrable list of applications; it might be worth getting something like the Fire TV Stick 4K for a cleaner user experience. Also, keep in mind that spotlights are suitable for darker environments, and looking through the day with the curtains open may not give the best image.
