Nokia 5.4 with updated internals could launch earlier than expected

Nokia, led by HMD, rarely floods the market with similar-looking, similar-spec devices under different names. Instead, it made its own mark by introducing fewer devices but decent hardware and build specs. The speed of execution of software updates was also the icing on the cake. However, it appears that the company is now planning to switch gears. Or should we say that they too are following the trend, rather than bucking it. NokiaPowerUser reports that Nokia plans to release a successor to the Nokia 5.3 in the near future. The new Nokia 5.4 could have better internal components and an improved camera setup. The report claims that the new mid-range phone could debut with the 7.3G-capable Nokia 5, which is expected to launch next month, should things go according to plan.

Nokia 5.4 - What we know

The Nokia 5.4 is rumored to come with a 6.4-inch display with a selfie camera housed in a hole-punch cutout. At 6.4 inches, that could easily fall into the category of portable and compact devices, given that most smartphones today measure around 6.7 inches. As for the processor, all we know for now is that the Nokia 5.4 is expected to have a slightly better processor than the predecessor. However, not much is known about this at the moment. Reports claim there may be a few memory and storage variants, including a 4GB/64GB option and a 4GB/128GB option. In terms of optics, the phone could come with a quad-camera setup on the back like the Nokia 5.3, but with more powerful sensors. It is also reported that at launch, the phone may be available in some color options, including blue and purple, while others may be available at a later date.
