Nio presents the new electric sedan ET7 with more than 1.000 km of autonomy | The comparison
China remains the world's largest electric vehicle market, averaging more than one million units sold in the past two years. Nio, one of the most popular local electric car manufacturers, has just introduced its fourth electric vehicle, the Nio ET7. Revealed at its Nio Day event, the ET7 is the company's new flagship sedan to be delivered in the first quarter of 2022. Being a premium product, it packs a futuristic design and a barrage of features for comfort. At the conference, they even compared it to a living room, with wide seats with a built-in massager, smart air suspension, heating and ventilation. The air vents are also hidden in the rest of the design so that they are "invisible" to all passengers. There is a panoramic laminated glass roof in the Nio ET7. The windshield also offers a heads up display. A 12,8-inch tablet will be the center of all controls and entertainment. Along with this, there will be a range of 23 speakers with a power of 1000W. Nio claims that this is the first vehicle in the world to support a digital UWB key that will automatically unlock based on proximity and location. The Nio ET7 features a four-wheel drive dual-motor propulsion system capable of reaching a maximum power of 480 kW and 850 Nm of torque. It is claimed to have an acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,9 seconds. It is available in two battery options: 70 kWh for a range of more than 500 km and 100 kWh for a range of 700 km. By the end of 2022, a third variant will be available with a denser 150 kWh battery, which is expected to be able to travel more than 1,000 km on a single charge, the largest for any electric car in China.

It uses an array of eleven 8MP cameras, LiDAR, mmWave and Adam (its proprietary embedded supercomputer) radars, as well as an Nvidia platform capable of 1016 TOPS of performance. Pre-orders are now open in China. It can be purchased upfront or with Battery as a Service (BaaS), as part of a monthly subscription. Similarly, the self-driving package will cost CNY 680 (~Rs 7,700 / €105) per month, but all vehicles will have the necessary materials included.
