Nintendo Switch owners finally get a Pikmin 3 port

Nintendo has announced that Pikmin 3 Deluxe is coming to the Switch. It is an enhanced port of the well-received 2013 Wii U game, and it will be released on October 30 of this year. In Pikmin 3, you play as a stuck space explorer and manipulate little organic beings called Pikmin to do your bidding. Different types of Pikmin serve different roles, and you can command them to harvest fruit, reach new areas, and sometimes take down enemies. It's sort of like Nintendo's version of a real-time strategy game and a follow-up to two favorite GameCube titles. Here's a trailer for Pikmin 3 Deluxe: This pack will include all of the original DLC for the game, new side content, and the ability to try out the game's story with another player. If you've never played Pikmin before, you may have encountered the character Olimar in Super Smash Bros, where he makes a regular appearance. The original version was one of the best Wii U games, I hope it can find a new audience on Switch.

What other Wii U games are still waiting for a Switch port?

Nintendo has been smart enough to get its Wii U exclusives on the Switch, with New Super Mario Bros U Deluxe, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and even the obscure RPG Tokyo Mirage Sessions making the leap to the new hardware. Even so, some games are still stuck on Nintendo's old console, which was a huge flop compared to the Switch. These include Xenoblade Chronicles X, HD remakes of the Zelda games Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, and Super Mario 3D World. However, the latter was rumored to have a Switch port to celebrate Mario's 35th birthday this year.
