Today, Disney released a new trailer for Loki at its Disney Investor 2020 event that showed the God of Evil living up to his title, this time in a new dimension. Trailer highlights include Owen Wilson apprehending Loki, as well as a not-so-surprising appearance by Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow as what appears to be the new Soul Stone Guardian. While some of the hits feel disconnected, intentionally, to confuse you with the same one Loki encounters, that hasn't stopped Loki from moving with hits. In fact, if there's one constant in the character, it's that you can count on Tom Hiddleston's smile when things go wrong.
Marvel movie madness
While Hiddleston's riddled two-minute trailer was certainly a thrill ride, it was buried in the middle of a slew of other Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney/Pixar trailers that seemed to steal them all. addresses. Before Loki, we had a trailer for The Falcon and The Winter Soldier and WandaVision, which was preceded by trailers for the new Star Wars series and teasers for the new movies. While it was a fun mayhem, Disney was clearly trying to show how much content they had lined up for their streaming service Disney Plus, as well as its eventual return to theaters next year. Disney Plus will need all the good publicity it can get, however, as the company was quick to announce towards the end of the presentation that the price of the service would increase by an additional dollar per month in the near future.
