Any Netflix user will be familiar with the short, sweet 'ta-dum' sound that triggers their arrival on the Netflix platform. As an opening sound it's not bad, providing familiarity with the building over time, without a composition stretched enough to scratch your ears the more you listen to it. If you're watching a Netflix movie at the theater or at a festival screening, you may have heard something very different. As it turns out, Netflix commissioned acclaimed composer Hans Zimmer (Inception, Gladiator, No Time To Die) to create a fully cinematic alternative to this humble sound, for viewers to enjoy on a larger scale.
