NBN Co meets its 2019 deployment and activation goals… alone

After a shaky start, the rollout of the national broadband network (NBN) remains largely behind schedule, and the latest word from the company NBN Co says it has achieved more of its goals. Notably, NBN Co predicted that the number of stores ready to go online for FY19 would be 9.7 million, with deployment reaching 9.93 million on that date. Similarly, the number of actual activations should be 5,5 million, but it managed to exceed this figure of 5,52 million. The company attributes its success to the momentum gained in the last three months, when it has managed to connect more than 1.1 million installations. It should be noted, however, that these targets have been revised on the basis of much more ambitious targets. The business plan published in August 2018 significantly reduced the targets because the plan initially provided for 6.9 million stores activated for fiscal year 19 and 11.2 million ready to connect. . For the company to reach its goal of completing the network by 2020, it is expected to have an additional 1,77 million stores ready to connect next year and another 2,58 million to be activated. Although we do not yet have all the details and detailed information on the implementation of the network, NBN Co will publish its final full-year results on August 15.
