MSI bug suggests Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti launch is imminent
Nvidia isn't expected to announce the RTX 3080 Ti for another two weeks, but it has already appeared on MSI's website. As Videocardz discovered, the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is now listed on the MSI site as a filter for the graphics card product category. Clicking the link doesn't bring up a product yet, but that's probably another sign that the flagship Ampere GPU is coming soon. This is not the first time that MSI has confirmed the imminent arrival of the RTX 3080 Ti. An MSI Supreme X version of the graphics card was photographed in the wild earlier this month, with some even suggesting that the GPU was already on sale in Abu Dhabi for an estimated €3,500 (€2,500 / AU$4,500). . While Nvidia has yet to confirm the existence of the RTX 3080 Ti, or its cost, the company is expected to announce the GPU widely on May 29, with a launch scheduled for early June. However, it is unlikely to hold many surprises as the high-end GPU was leaked well before its official debut. The graphics card is rumored to feature the GA102-225-KD-A1 GPU, with a total of 10,240 CUDA cores and 80 SM units, and clock speeds of 1365 MHz and 1665 MHz. The Nvidia RTX 3080 Ti is also expected to arrive equipped with 12GB of GDDR6X memory, 2GB more than the Nvidia RTX 3080. Nvidia's updated hash rate limiter is also likely to be included in the RTX 3080 Ti, alongside the RTX 3070 Ti, as the company looks to put more GPUs in the hands of gamers, instead of being captured by cryptominers.
