Using Microsoft Teams on your smartphone could be much more useful thanks to the latest software update. Microsoft has revealed that its users will be able to access its video conferencing service applications during meetings on iOS and Android devices. Previously, the apps were only available to Microsoft Teams desktop users, which means users can now join meetings when on the go or on the go.
Mobile apps in Teams
Microsoft first announced in-meeting apps for Teams on desktop in November 2020, with the goal of allowing users to further personalize their use of the platform "before, during, and after a meeting." The company added that the addition of mobile support allows users to "stay in the workflow ", using services like surveys, with notifications displayed as a banner at the top of the screen. When clicked, they can allow users to interact with the content while still participating in the meeting. Microsoft says the apps Third-party apps can also be configured to accommodate new mobile experiences, noting that this means that not all apps will be immediately available on all platforms.The updates follow a series of releases from Microsoft, which aims to make Teams a more pleasant experience for mobile users, especially as many workers around the world are beginning to return to the office.
