Facebook changed the Meta name last year and put the new name on its VR headset to boot. Today is the device's second annual showcase, giving us a first look at all the games coming to the platform in the not too distant future.
Previously known as the Oculus Quest and Oculus Quest 2, the VR headset family now sports the Meta Quest moniker in line with Facebook's rebranding late last year. The 2021 Oculus Gaming Showcase focused solely on the software coming to Quest 2, and this year's Meta Quest Gaming Showcase is no different apart from the name change.
Announced last month, we already have hints of a handful of titles making their debut at the event. This list includes Among Us VR, Cities: VR, as well as updates to existing games such as Beat Saber. Tripwire Interactive also teased "something big" for the storefront. Given the reference to stealth, it's likely a sequel to 1's Espire 2019: VR Operative, but we'll have to wait and see.
