Sony and Guerrilla Games have shared another short trailer for Horizon Forbidden West, this one focusing on the different tribes that Aloy will encounter on her adventure.
In a PS weblog post, narrative director Ben McGraw states that players will encounter familiar tribes and form new coalitions, as well as face off against dangerous opponents as well as the local mechanical fauna.
The trailer gives a brief overview of 4 of the game's tribes. Two of them, the Carja and the Oseram, return from Horizon Zero Dawn. The former is a tribe of desert dwellers who worship the sun, while the latter is made up of metal workers and builders.
As for the 2 new tribes, there is little division in either of them. The Utaru can be seen chanting across the land in hopes of healing the enigmatic Red Plague, while the Tenakth appear to be a warrior tribe ready for battle.
Mention is made of 2 other tribes, although both lack names. The first bears by name only a rebel group led by a woman named Regalla. They can be seen riding and controlling machines, strongly suggesting that they will serve as primary opponents. But there are gossip from an even stronger tribe; what role they might play is now unknown. Check out the trailer below:

Developer Guerrilla Games seems to be banking on planet building now with its Horizon Forbidden West trailers. The last one he shared was about some of the new mechanical monsters that players are going to hunt.
Horizon Forbidden West will be released for PS 4 and PS 5 on February XNUMXth. Just over a month old, there's still no official gameplay for the PSXNUMX version, though it has been visually confirmed that it looks as good as the PSXNUMX version.
Recently, a spin-off game was announced for Sony's new VR headset, PSVR two. Called Horizon Call of the Mountain, Guerrilla is developing it along with Firesprite and will put players in command of a new character, although Aloy has been confirmed to appear.
