You can now enjoy Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales at 60fps with ray tracing enabled, after the game received a surprise update on PS5. The update weighs only 261,9 MB and adds a new graphics mode to the game called "Performance RT". By selecting this mode, you can enjoy the game at 60fps with ray tracing enabled, however, scene resolution, reflection quality, and pedestrian density are all dropped. It's a great compromise between fidelity and performance modes, and one that fans have been asking for since the game's release. Fidelity contains all the graphical bells and whistles you could ask for, like ray tracing, but it crashes the game. at 30 frames per second. Performance mode, on the other hand, completely removed ray tracing for a silky smooth 60fps target. We have tested the new update ourselves and can confirm that ray tracing is fully operational using Performance RT graphics mode. However, the resolution packs a noticeable punch compared to the other two modes. While we can't be sure, it seems to work at 1080p instead of aiming for 4K output. Still, it's a big compromise if you want 60fps and ray tracing, though we'd personally stick with performance mode.
