Falcon and the Winter Soldier may have ended on Disney Plus, but there's a lot more content out there for MCU fans. While we wait for these next MCU installments to arrive, there is one thing fans can do in the meantime: speculate on what lies ahead for the future of the MCU. What could the MCU movie's unannounced plans be?
The storied history of Marvel comics means we got to see a number of movie adaptations. Usually, it would be hard to pin down what Marvel Studios has in store, but based on what we've seen and heard about Phase 4, we can hazard a few guesses.
First up, we have Captain America 4. Marvel has yet to officially announce it, but there has apparently been talk within Marvel's Halls of Power about another cinematic release for Cap. Of course, Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson, and not Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, would be the star of this potential film, given that he finally took up the mantle of Captain American in Episode 6 of Falcon and Winter Soldier.
So it's likely that we'll see a film adaptation of Young Avengers. We've already seen two prominent members of Billy and Tommy Maximoff, also known as Wiccan and Speed, in the MCU due to their appearances in WandaVision. It's pretty sure, at this point, that Wanda is looking for them as part of her Doctor Strange 2 storyline, and reports suggest that the Billy and Tommy actors are part of that movie's cast.
If that's true, we potentially already know of six Young Avengers that exist in the MCU. Kate Bishop, who will co-star in Hawkeye's Disney Plus series later this year, is one of them. We also meet Eli Bradley, grandson of another Captain America in Isaiah Bradley, in Falcon and the Winter Soldier, who eventually becomes the superhero known as Patriot.
Another Young Avengers we might meet is America Chavez aka Miss America who is also part of the cast of Doctor Strange 2. Chavez is able to meet the Sorcerer Supreme while trying to stop the Multiverse from collapsing on him. If he ends up moving into the current reality of the MCU, he might as well join the lineup. Finally, Cassie Lang, the daughter of Ant-Man, becomes Stature in the comics and also accepts an invitation to join the Young Avengers.
Finally, we still haven't heard anything about Marvel's X-Men plans. Madripoor, who has deep ties to mutant fan favorite Wolverine, was visited by Sam, Bucky Barnes, and Helmut Zemo in Falcon and the Winter Soldier. If this iconic location exists in the MCU, it's only a matter of time before the X-Men officially introduce themselves, right?
In another Murphy's Multiverse article, Spellman revealed that the addition of Madripoor to the MCU only came after the idea of a crime-focused city was developed, which ended up resembling the island principality. However, now that Madripoor is canon in the MCU, Marvel Studios has every chance to start bringing Wolverine, Magneto, Professor X, and other mutants into their cinematic world.
There are other Marvel properties that could be announced. There have been longstanding rumors surrounding the introduction of Nova, another member of the Guardians of the Galaxy who could debut in Volume 3, while the Dark Avengers, which may include Wyatt's American agent. Russell or Emily VanCamp's Power Broker, is another possible. movie.
