Not surprisingly, Mario Ver..., I mean, Luigi, has always been socially aware. Luigi's Mansion 3 already starts off with incredible charm in its opening scene. A little toad drives his bus to take Mario, Luigi, Peach and the rest of the toads for a while at the fabulous Helen Gravely hotel. The new main mechanism introduced by Luigi's Mansion 3 is the ability to summon your clone, only the one called Goo. Gooigi is fragile, but with his essentially gelatinous body, you can cross thorns, bars and pipes to explore and solve puzzles, your main enemy being water.
You can also play with two players, one of them controlling his greenest clone in story mode. There are also two other game modes for more players and one of them puts 4 players competing, capturing ghosts and solving puzzles in different rooms of the hotel. , with a boss at the end.
Between fears, mice, spiders, bats and ghosts, there is always something to explore or discover. Filled with secrets, some of which can only be materialized with its special flashlight, the title encourages you to explore even without offering additional rewards, just to give you the satisfaction of enjoying the game a little more. it has physics on almost every object in the scene and you can interact with just about anything. It is possible to open drawers, taps, push or suck various objects and discover a lot, but a large amount of accumulated money was scattered around the mansion. This money can be spent for some things with the teacher, but in the end, it doesn't make much sense in and of itself.
There are also two other types of secrets: hidden gems that will take you out of the ordinary to solve some of the best puzzles in the game. There are 6 hidden gems per floor and you will probably have to visit them after confronting the boss to get what you have forgotten. Professor E. Gadd will also warn you that there are Boos hidden in the floors once you have finished them. These Boos react to the material Gooigi is made of and you will feel the controller vibrate when you are close to it. Unfortunately, there is not much variety and the fights against them are relatively simple.
The controls may seem strange at first. When the flashlight is on or the vacuum cleaner is on, you are limited to some kind of tank control, in which you can move more easily (where the character is looking) and you have to turn it on only axis to change direction. It is always easier to release the command and transform the character into his freest movement.

The bosses have big expressions and Luigi's scared faces are too numerous. While remaining true to the original formula, the game can bring simple yet effective innovations such as some new moves and the ability to surprise and bounce ghosts on the ground.
