Leaky Pictures Show Google Nest Mini Can Be Mounted To Your Wall

Rumors that Google is working on a new smart speaker, called the Google Nest Mini, have been around for a while, but the new leaked images seem to reveal what the next generation Google Home Mini will look like.

WinFuture has posted promotional photos of the new Google speaker, revealing that the Google Mini Nest will be extremely similar to the original Google Home Mini. However, as expected, it will mount on a wall, with a slot on the back of the speaker to allow for that.

The leak comes just hours before the Google Pixel 4 launch, when we expect the tech giant to introduce the Google Nest Mini.

Although Google has not confirmed this, the company recently obtained FCC certification in the United States for its new "streaming media device." This, along with the leaked images, suggests that a launch date for Google's Nest Mini is, in fact, imminent.

What do the developed images reveal?

As well as showing that the Google Mini Nest can be mounted on a wall, we can get some additional detail from the images that were leaked.

First, the design of the Google Mini Nest does not appear to be much different than its predecessor, the Google Home Mini; It appears to be roughly the same size, with the same stone shape and the same fabric grid.

WinFuture indicates that the rack is made from shredded plastic bottles, and the bottom of the box is "at least 35% recycled plastic."

Like its predecessor, the Google Nest Mini appears to be available in a range of neutral colors; According to 9to5Google, this will include charcoal, gray, coral, and light blue.

We were expecting the new Google Mini Nest to have a 3.5mm audio jack. The latter will feature a 3.5mm audio jack, which places the new smart speaker in direct competition with the Amazon Echo Dot. However, we cannot see a screenshot in the images that have been leaked.

According to WinFuture, the new Google Assistant speaker will work with Bluetooth 5.0 and include built-in support for Chromecast, like the Google Home Mini.

Google has not confirmed the authenticity of these images, but there is no longer time to wait if the Google Mini Nest will actually be marketed during today's Pixel 4 event. hui; you can watch with us via the Pixel 4 live stream that starts at 10 am EDT (7 am PDT, 3 pm BST, 1 am AEDT).
