Leaky Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Photos Suggest Very Familiar Software

We've already seen leaked images of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 as it's probably close to being unveiled, but now for the first time we've seen on-screen images showing software for the expected smartwatch. These images come from YouTube TechTalks TV, which posted five images purportedly of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 on Twitter; These images correspond to what we have already seen, but unlike the previous photos of the new smartwatch, the screen is turned on, offering us an overview of the software. Well, we'd call this a 'first look' at the software, but it looks like we've already seen it, as the Galaxy Watch 3 appears to use the exact same version of Tizen (Samsung smartwatch software) as the original Galaxy Watch. and other Samsung smartwatches before. The hardware is certainly different from the original Samsung Galaxy Watch, with two crowns on the side instead of buttons and a much thinner bezel, but the software is the real focus of this leak.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 Software

< p lang="en" dir="ltr">Exclusive: Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 pic.twitter.com/jkFYH84I6P June 22, 2020 The first shared image of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 shows the main menu, with 10 icons showing different options (which you'll probably use a rotating bezel to select), and it's the exact same menu as on the original Galaxy Watch, as you can see in the image at the top of this article, albeit with different apps. The other images show specific menus on the Galaxy Watch 3, and they don't do much. Since this main menu is very similar to the old watch, it sounds like Samsung isn't really looking to change the software much between its smartwatches, as an additional home screen feature would probably be one of the first things to improve for the newer software. Of course, it's entirely possible that this Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 model is a first unit still running the older software, and that when the device goes public, a new version of Tizen will be available. As such, we're not going to claim that the smartwatch hasn't had any software changes from its predecessor yet. We expect the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 to launch in July alongside the Galaxy Buds Live; keep an eye on TechRadar for the latest leaks and rumors in the meantime.
