An official Canon EOS 90D marketing video was leaked, confirming the alleged claims

For some time Canon has announced the replacement of the EOS 80D with a successor. The specs of the EOS 90D, which circulated under all seams, had unexpected leaks since May 2019.

However, the discovery of the official promo video for Canon Rumors, An Eagle-Eyed People, allowed us a stealth look at the future snapper. The video is a minute and a half long and reveals not only the physical design of the EOS 90D, but also the main specs that it will boast about, largely confirming what we had previously heard.

Replacing both the EOS 80D and the EOS 7D Mark II (the latter is reputed to be the last of its kind), the 90D is expected to become Canon's next flagship product, the APS-C format, which it will give a positive boost in resolution compared to the two older snappers. .

The promotional video confirms that the 90D will house a 32.5 MP APS-C sensor as well as a Digic 8 imaging engine, which will also give it a speed boost over its predecessors.

The video also reveals that the viewfinder will have 100% coverage, with a 45-point autofocus (AF) system. Canon has installed face detection technology in the 90D and its excellent dual-pixel autofocus system is equipped with eye detection when using Live View.

The video also tells us that the camera will be dust and weather resistant and will be compatible with the BG-E14 battery grip (such as the EOS 80D and EOS 70D).

According to some rumors, the EOS 90D should be announced on August 28, possibly with the EOS M5 Mark II and M6 Mark II APS-C mirrorless cameras. If that's true, you only have a week to wait before you know, and we'll let you know as soon as we have more news.
