League of Legends Comes to Mobile Phones: Here's How to Pre-Enroll

Soon you will be able to download and play the League of Legends game you know and love on your mobile. Well, it is not exactly the same game, but an almost identical version modified for smartphones as well as consoles.

This is League of Legends: Wild Rift, and this was just announced by the developers at Riot Games in celebration of the XNUMXth anniversary of League of Legends. Yes, it has been a decade since you felt old.

League of Legends: Wild Rift isn't exactly identical to League of Legends on PC; The main difference lies in the controls, because the game has been optimized for players who do not use a mouse or keyboard. There are also slightly shorter play times, around 15-20 minutes, and a new version of the card.

Given LoL's popularity for ten years, fans can expect a game as close to the original as possible. We'll know for sure in 2020, when LoL: Wild Rift will be available on Android and iOS, even if you can pre-register on the Google Play Store now. The console version is set to come later, but we don't know exactly which games will be included (almost certainly PS4 and Xbox One, and possibly Nintendo Switch, if we're lucky).

A new era of mobile gaming

League of Legends isn't the only extremely popular game to hit mobile. Call of Duty saw a mobile port in October 2019 with a massive launch weekend, while Stalwarts Fortnite and PUBG continued to be very popular on smartphones, with the new Fortnite Chapter 2 update to continue this series.

Even PC games have found their place in the mobile world with classics like Rome: Total War, Tropico, FTL: Faster than Light, Runescape, and many more on well-received mobile ports.

So it's not surprising that League of Legends is getting involved on mobile devices - it's still one of the biggest PC games, after all, even ten years after its release. If League of Legends: Wild Fire is a success, we might even see similar games on cell phones like DOTA 2 and Heroes Of The Storm.
